It's time

Yes, it's that time of year when all staff have to do the inevitable — reactivate your username. Of course you can always go retro and start writing letters or use the library instead of consulting Google. But who would want to do that?

So, go and activate your account here. It will only take 5 minutes at most, we promise.

Reactivate before 31 March
Network access for all staff users will expire at the end of March, unless reactivated. If you haven't reactivated yours, please do so ASAP.
Trojan horses still invade
Trojans are malicious programmes pretending to be legitimate software, but they actually carry out hidden, harmful functions.
E-mail account hijacked
Over the weekend an e-mail was sent from a SU staff member's hacked account. Do not reply to or click on the link in the e-mail.
The history of viruses, Trojans and worms (part 2)
Last time we explored more unknown viruses, Trojans and worms, up to 1985. Now we start off in 1986, where most histories do, with the first PC virus.
