CAUGHT OUT

In spite of warnings and articles on phishing, staff and students are still getting caught out on a weekly basis. This high occurence of compromised accounts emphasises that it's still essential to spread cyber security awareness.

Don't assume you won't be duped into giving away your information. Cyber criminals are targeting Stellenbosch University directly and we can't protect you from clicking on links in your email. It's your responsibility to know the signs of a phishing email and not to divulge your information. In this edition we provide you with some guidelines.

MORE STAFF ACCOUNTS COMPROMISED
Multiple staff accounts were compromised over the past few weeks due to individual staff members clicking on links in phishing emails.
