Our Mission

The US Gymnasium offers a cost-effective, essential holistic support service of excellent quality to the US, its staff members and students, as well as to public institutions and to the public in all related service areas.

Service Delivery

The US Gymnasium services the following target groups: Students with the general requirements exercise, relaxation and the need for opportunities for socialisation; The sports culture of the University; Adult persons with special needs;

Message to the public

The Gymnasium generates its own funds under the banner of the University of Stellenbosch. Individualized exercise programs are designed and each new member is provided with training on exercise apparatus. The changing-rooms have been designed for ease of use and to provide a homely atmosphere. Special exercise groups exist for ladies as well as men who have need of unique requirements. Please note the use of the swimming pool facilities for recreation is contingent on availability after sport exercise and training needs have been catered for.
