As we enter the final stretch of this year, one can't help feeling nostalgic and melancholic at the same time.

Soos ons die pylvak van die jaar betree, kan `n mens nie anders as om nostalgies, maar tog ook ietwat melancholies te voel nie.

Dit was `n jaar vol lewensveranderende gebeure op internasionale vlak en vir sommige ook in hul persoonlike lewens.

Ons hoop 2013 was `n jaar om te onthou en wens jou `n feestelike vakansie en `n 2014
vol potensiaal en eindelose moontlikhede toe.

IT-DIENSTE GEDURENDE DIE VAKANSIE   IT SERVICES DURING THE HOLIDAY

Informasietegnologie sal vanaf 12:00, 24 Desember 2013 tot 2 Januarie 2014 geen gebruikers-ondersteuningsdienste verskaf nie. Alle kritieke stelsels sal egter steeds onderhou en ondersteun word.

Indien ernstige probleme gedurende diƩ tydperk opduik, sal die dringendheid daarvan bepaal word en dienooreenkomstig hanteer word.

 

From 12:00 on 24 December 2013 until 2 January 2014 Information Technology will not be providing any user support services. However, all critical systems will still be maintained and supported.

If serious problems occur during this period, the urgency of the problem will be determined and dealt with accordingly.

Tydens 2013 het die IT Dienstoonbank `n totaal
van 67 594 oproepe met `n gemiddelde wagtydperk van slegs 41 sekondes ontvang.
15 701
versoeke vir wagwoordveranderinge
is hanteer en 2786 e-posprobleme opgelos.

By die Studentesentrum is 2392 oproepe ontvang,
14 871 rekenaars gediens en 16 907
wifi-registrasies voltooi.

 

During 2013 the IT Service Desk received a total of 67 594 calls with an average waiting time of just 41 seconds. 15 701 requests for password changes were handled and 2786 e-mail issues resolved.

At the Student Centre 2392 calls were received, 14 871 computers serviced and 16 907 wifi registrations completed.
